Petara
A series of abstract, minimalist florals on antiqued deckled paper
Petara is a quiet exploration of singular blooms — abstract, minimal, and rooted in emotion.
These small works are my quiet studies of imperfection and beauty. Each 6x8" piece is created on antiqued, deckled paper—intentionally weathered, soft-edged, and tactile. I work in black and white, using mixed media to create abstract, minimalist interpretations of flowers. No two are alike.
Every piece reflects how I see the world: layered, imperfect, and deeply personal. The simplicity is intentional—an invitation to slow down, to notice the space between things. These works are made for collectors who find meaning in subtle gestures and one-of-a-kind moments.
Whispers of Twilight
Imagine a serene marsh scene, where the sky is a gradient of soft, warm hues—deep oranges, radiant purples, and the last flickers of sunlight melting into the horizon. The bright pink undertones subtly weave through the clouds and light reflections, almost like the sky itself is blushing as the sun sinks. Tall grasses sway gently, catching the soft golden light, while the water below mirrors the sky in smooth, undisturbed patches. The marsh seems peaceful, timeless. The gold floating frame around it has a subtle sheen, giving the piece an air of elegance, almost as if it were a moment frozen in time. The gold accents play off the rich pinks, enhancing the warm, ethereal feel of the painting. It feels like the kind of piece that draws you in, inviting you to lose yourself in its tranquility, especially as the light shifts with the sunset.
